When you’ve been a band for over a decade like A Will Away has, it’s good to reflect and realign your goals once in a while. Their new single “Karma” shares the undeniable truth that “sometimes karma comes from out of nowhere and kicks you in the ass,” but their upcoming album Stew dives into how all of these moments in life are pivotal and necessary. They ask you to consider who you are, and why you are, and what that means. Their version of rock includes thought provoking lyrics, anthemic guitar riffs, and the kind of energy that subconsciously pulls you towards a music festival stage from across the grounds.
We had the chance to chat with frontman Matthew Carlson about Stew (out February 18th), creating balance & boundaries with sharing their lives, and contemplating what makes A Will Away who and why they are. Watch the full interview below!
