AIRPORTS channels the warmth of summer on new single “LOSER”

The first thought I had when I first heard “LOSER,” the new single from AIRPORTS, was: Owl City meets The 1975. A perfect combination if you ask me, as “Vanilla Twilight” was my middle school jam and I’ve had an on-again-off-again musical affair with The 1975 over the last few years. If you’re a fan of either of these bands you are going to vibe with the newest release from this Australian artist.

This song is so catchy and a picture perfect pop jam, I see myself driving with the windows down on a sunny day while blasting this in the background. This song perfectly combines a vibey summeresqe melody with fun lyrics that you can scream at the top of your lungs.

Something that particularly stood out to me and drew me into this song was the fun bass line. I’m a sucker for the rhythm section so give me a solid bass line or some hard hitting drums and I’m completely sold. AIRPORTS delivered on this front and the bass line adds a special groove to the song and makes it stand out from your typical pop song.

If you’re looking to add a fun and vibey song to your playlist that will have you wishing the sun was still warm on your skin, I highly recommend giving “LOSER” a listen, or two or three.
