Dani Nash has been a huge part of the Toronto music scene for the last decade, whether you know it’s her serving you up your fave songs or not. As a wildly talented multi-instrumentalist — drums, guitar, and vocals — she’s spent years on the road with artists like JULY TALK, Andy Shauf, Brendan Canning… the list goes on. But alongside her career helping others’ music come alive on stage, she’s equally equipped to stand in that spotlight herself. We’re excited to be premiering her new single “New Trend” this morning on SSP.
This track is perfect for the upcoming season. It feels light and energetic, like the first signs of spring, and it echos the feelings of rebirth and new beginnings through the lyrics. “Maybe I’ve been too hard on myself…” keeps ringing out in my mind, asking me to simplify and move forward. Dani’s talents shine through in all facets of the track, from the lyrics to the instrumentals, proving that she can handle herself as a front-woman alongside the artists she’s supported over the years. Her self titled album will be here on March 19th.
